Unlike others, we don’t offer a one-size-fits-all experience – every outing is customized to help you achieve your specific experence. Whether you’re looking for a full day on the water or a half-day adventure, we’ve got you covered. Enjoy fishing in the comfort and safety of our 27’ River Wild Boat, custom-built to navigate Oregon’s iconic waters in style.
Our trips include the finest bait and tackle, featuring the newest, top-of-the-line gear from Shimano and G-Loomis to ensure a successful outing.
Rates
8 hours - $250 per angler
5 hours - $200 per angler
We also accommodate large group trips.
Trips canceled by Hammond Guide Service will receive a full deposit refund. Trips canceled by clients are non-refundable. Same-day cancellations or "no show" clients will be charged the full amount for the trip.

Chinook (King) Salmon
Mid March - Early November

Portland, Oregon, is home to world-class Steelhead fishing, with prime locations like the Columbia River, Willamette River, and the Sandy River offering exceptional opportunities throughout the year. Because of their challenging nature and high-energy battles, Steelhead fishing continues to attract anglers of all levels. Jason Hammond Fishing Guide Service offers year around fishing and crabbing trips from the Pacific Ocean throughout the Columbia River Gorge and all of the surrounding tributaries.
The Pacific Northwest is home to some of the most productive fisheries in the United States that include the “king” of them all – Chinook Salmon – and also Sturgeon, Walleye, Bass, Halibut, Ling Cod, Rock Fish and Dungeness Crab. All are found in world class sizes and quantities. Our rivers and bays rival those of anywhere in the world.
As a second generation guide I know when and where to take you on your next adventure. I will give you the most memorable fishing trip that the Northwest has to offer.
MY COMMITMENT TO MY CUSTOMERS
I take great pride in giving my guests the most enjoyable time on the water and the best chance at landing the fish of their dreams. We start our day with a brief explanation of the gear and techniques we will utilize, as well as what to expect from our trip. I deliver a fun and safe day on the water regardless of skill level or age of the angler. From a child who is a new fisherman to the most skilled angler, I will make sure your experience is one to remember!
Because preparation is essential when providing premium service my process begins well before you step aboard. The boat and safety gear are cleaned and inspected. Rods are rigged and ready to go prior to every trip.
OUR EQUIPMENT
We fish the highest quality equipment from our state of the art custom 27' River Wild Boat, four stroke Yamaha Outboards, Garmin Electronics, G-Loomis Rods, and Shimano Reels to the Maxima line, lures, and bait. You will be using the most cutting-edge equipment and techniques available today.
